
WE-LEAD Ethiopia Literacy, Education, and Development Association (WE-LEAD Ethiopia) is a nationally recognized, non-religious, non-governmental organization established in 2018 and officially registered with the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia Authority for Civil Society Organizations under registration number 4019. The organization has a well-defined structure that outlines the functions, responsibilities, and relationships across its units. At the top is the General Assembly, the highest decision-making body, followed by the Board of Management, which provides strategic leadership and oversees overall operations and policy matters. An independent External Auditor ensures that financial management and protocols are carried out transparently and correctly. Reporting to the Board, the General Director manages the overall operations of the organization, while Operations Directors supervise day-to-day project implementation in close coordination with project coordinators. WE-LEAD Ethiopia’s headquarters is located in Addis Ababa, Garment Square, with a field office in Bonga Town.

To empower Ethiopia’s nations, nationalities, and peoples by advancing multilingual education, promoting literacy, and fostering inclusive development. We are committed to improving lives through community-based programs in education, Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WaSH), food security, and healthcare, while nurturing integrity, cultural identity, and sustainable peace through dialogue and collaborative conflict resolution.
